Every Gas Safety Workshop designed and delivered by Teksol is based on information freely available from Air Products Plc, the Health & Safety Executive, the British Compressed Gases Association, gas equipment suppliers and from best practice sources.

Teksol designs and delivers Liquid Nitrogen Safety Training to ensure operator safety and competence. Liquid Nitrogen bulk tanks, cryogenic mini-tanks, dewars, containers and equipment can then be operated within the context of a safe system of work.

Liquid Nitrogen Safety Workshops carried out by Teksol are inter-active gas safety learning events, complete with demonstrations and competency-based practical activities on bulk liquid tanks, cryogenic mini-tanks, dewars and other liquid nitrogen gas equipment.

The Liquid Nitrogen Safety Training content includes current legislation, properties and hazards of liquid nitrogen, importance of product knowledge and MSDS, current legislation and codes of practice, oxygen deficiency hazard, localised oxygen enrichment hazard, fire and explosion hazards, risk assessment, safe systems of work, personal protective equipment, precautions, confined spaces, ventilation, forced air extraction, gas detection, monitor and alarm requirements, safe and correct use of liquid nitrogen bulk tanks, cryogenic mini-tanks, dewars and equipment, excess pressure relief methods and devices, liquid and gas take-offs, safe and correct movement, handling and storage of liquid nitrogen, tanker delivery and control on site, equipment standards and inspection procedures, emergency procedures, rescue and first aid, demonstrations of safe and correct use of Liquid Nitrogen with active practical participation by delegates to gain experience and have their understanding and competence assessed. Successful participants are awarded a Certificate of Achievement.
