The Liquefied Petroleum Gas Safety Workshop meets and exceeds the requirements of BS ISO 11625:2007 Gas Cylinders - Safe Handling. Core information on procedures and risk assessments are provided. Comprehensive gas safety handouts, safe working procedures and MSDSs will be provided for all participants. Each participant, by practical performance, must demonstrate to the instructor a level of understanding and competence in the correct and safe refuelling of a Fork Lift Truck LPG cylinder from a bulk tank of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (Propane). Successful completion of this gas safety training course (LPG Safety Workshop) is by competency-based practical assessment and a multiple-choice questionnaire with a 75% pass mark to gain a Certificate of Achievement.

The Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) Safety Workshop-Safe Refuelling of Fork Lift Trucks from a Propane bulk tank is for two to eight participants and lasts a half day. The Gas Safety Workshop can cover any start/finish times or shift patterns to suit client requirements.

On successful completion of the Gas Safety Workshop on Liquefied Petroleum Gas Safety, participants will be able to:

  • demonstrate competency in correctly and safely refuelling an LPG cylinder on a Fork Lift Truck from a static bulk tank of Propane and checking once refuelled, that it is safe to use
  • identify and put in place the correct safety precautions required for Liquefied Petroleum Gas, bulk Propane tank and self-filling gas cylinder operations on Fork Lift Trucks
  • safely pressurise the Fork Lift Truck LPG Propane fuel system, leak test and deal with any LPG leaks, and safely shut-down the LPG bulk tank of Propane and Fork Lift Truck after refuelling and then leave both in a safe condition when the operation has ceased

Participants will learn and fully understand:
